Northwood is currently accepting applications for Lifeguards for the 2025 Summer Season. The employment application will be open until January 3, 2025. Interviews will be held in late January through February. Employees that worked at Northwood in past years need to reapply and complete the interview process to be considered for rehire during the 2025 Summer Season. A successful Pool Manager applicant will have Lifeguarding and Pool Management experience. Also, he/she must hold current Red Cross Lifeguarding and Pool Operator certification as of March 1, 2025. Pool Manager wages are $18- $25/hr depending on experience. The Pool Manager must be at least 18 years of age. The Pool Manager will be expected to be available to work 20 to 40 hours a week. Assistant Manager and Lead Guard applicants must have lifeguarding experience and hold current Red Cross Lifeguard and MD Pool Operator certifications. Wages will be $16-20/ hour, depending on experience. After completing an approved in-person course, Northwood will reimburse the employee for the MD CPO course fee. Lifeguard applicants must have Red Cross Lifeguard certification. Lifeguards will be paid minimum wage with an additional rate per hour depending on lifeguard experience. Lifeguards with Certified Pool Operator certification will also earn an additional rate per hour.
